50m Team and Individual Prone Leagues

Course of fire

Course of fire for the above competitions will be 20 shots at 50yards/metres per round and 10 rounds in the competition. Shot on a fortnightly basis during May, June, July and August as below:

  • Round 1 & 2 - 15/05/2017

  • Round 3 - 29/05/2017

  • Round 4 - 12/06/2017

  • Round 5 - 26/06/2017

  • Round 6 - 10/07/2017

  • Round 7 - 24/07/2017

  • Round 8 - 07/08/2017

  • Round 9 & 10 - 28/08/2017

Targets

Current pattern NSRA 50yard, NSRA 50m cards or electronic targets registered with NSRA may be used. Please retain all shot cards or printouts until final results have been announced as spot checking may be required.

Teams

Teams will consist of a team of 3 – team members do not need to be from the same club but must shoot on the same range.

Teams will be placed in divisions according to submitted averages.

Average can be calculated from the following:

  1. average in the same competition in the previous year,

  2. use best 10 of last 12 indoor team leagues cards shot. In either case quote the average ex 200 to 1 decimal place.

Team league divisions will consist of 6 teams and will shoot against each team twice in rotation.

League points will be awarded as follows: 2 points for a win and 1 point for a draw.

The team with the highest aggregate of league points will be declared the winner of that league. Ties will be decided by team aggregate gunscore.

Individual Leagues

Individuals, if team members, will shoot the Individual League concurrently with the Team League.

Individuals will be placed in divisions according to submitted averages.

Average can calculated from the following:

  1. average in the same competition in the previous year,

  2. use best 10 of last 12 indoor team leagues cards shot. In either case quote the average ex 200 to 1 decimal place.

Individual league divisions will consist of a maximum of 8 shooters

League points will be awarded as follows: 7 points for leading score, 6 points for second place score through to O points for lowest score. Ties will be given the points for that ranking, next points awarded will be dependent on number of ties.

Individual with highest aggregate of league points will declared winner of that league with ties decided by aggregate gunscore.

Scoring

Cards may be scored locally and score emailed to the co-ordinator or shot cards posted to the co-ordinator. The scorer can be contacted by email on 50mleague@scottishtargetshooting.co.uk or by post at: Willie McAulay, 51 Hillcrest Drive, Alloa, Clackmannanshire FK10 1SD
