Scottish 50m Rifle Championships 2019
Event Rules
This event will be run under ISSF rules on electronic targets for all matches and positions. In all events, competitors must report to their firing point per the subsequent timings. In each event is a confined event, restricted to those who qualify as Scottish Residents, or on other grounds, to represent Scotland in this sport. If you qualify, please choose the "confined entry" option when registering to indicate eligibility.
ISSF Rules and the latest amendments may be downloaded free from www.issf-sports.org. A reference copy will be available for competitors.
Shooters with a Disability: Since this event is run following ISSF rules, it is not generally open to competitors with a disability unless the competitor is able to comply with the ISSF rules. If there is any concern about entering the competition and meeting these rules, then please contact events@scottishtargetshooting.co.uk.
Prone
All prone matches will consist of 60 shots, using decimal scoring, to be fired in a time of 50 minutes.
The men's prone event will comprise an Elimination Match (if required), and the Championship Match. The leading competitors in each Elimination Match will go through to the Championship Match.
The women's prone event will comprise an Elimination Match (if required), and the Championship Match. The leading competitors in each Elimination Match will go through to the Championship Match .
3 Positions
Both Men's and Women's 3P events will consist of a Qualification Match (scored in integer format) followed by a Final, with the numbers qualifying being dependent on entry but not less than 4.
The Men's 3P match will consist of 40 shots plus unlimited sighters in each of the kneeling, prone, and standing positions within a total time period of 3 hours (15 min sight plus 2hr 45min match time).
The Women's 3P match will also consist of 40 shots plus unlimited sighters in each of the kneeling, prone, and standing positions within a total time period of 3 hours (15 min sight plus 2hr 45min match time)
NOTE: If the entry for the women's prone does not exceed the range capacity for one detail then the championship detail will be shot at 12:00 and the men's 3P final at 13:35.

Ties
Ties will be resolved as per ISSF Rule 6.15.
Doping Control
Scottish Target Shooting follows the doping regulations adopted by British Shooting,developed with UKAD. As such, the testing for banned substances may be carried out at any time. Please declare any medication at check-in before shooting.
Equipment control
Equipment control will be available under ISSF rules 6.7.6 to allow voluntary checking. It is the competitor's responsibility to ensure that they have ample time for equipment control before the start of preparation time. Under ISSF rule 6.7.9 post competition checks will be carried out. Competitors will be selected for equipment control checks after shooting, a failure to pass equipment control will result in disqualification.
Juries
A competition jury will be appointed, consisting of ISSF or British Shooting licensed judges and/or members of the STS Smallbore Association Management Group (SBR AMG).
Protests
ISSF protest rules will apply ISSF rule 6.16. The protest fee for the meeting will be posted with a supply of Competitor Protest Forms.

Please Note: STS Membership is not restricted to shooters living in Scotland.

Admin
The closing date for entries is the Tuesday before the event date. If an event is full, please select the waiting list and provide us with your availability and you will be placed on a wait list and contacted only if a place becomes available.
Refunds
Cancellations made after the closing date of the event (i.e. the Tuesday prior to the meeting) will not be entitled to a refund except in exceptional circumstances and at the discretion of the STS Office.
