After missing the last five years, Scottish Target Shooting is very pleased to kick off the 2024 summer season with the return of the All Ranges Rifle Meeting on Saturday 20 April 2024.

Entries are now open for this start of season event for Outdoor Prone Shooters ( and some indoors!)

This competition was introduced, initially, to encourage those with less experience to “have a go” at shooting outdoors. As a season opener it is also a warm up for those planning to shoot outdoors during the summer season - whether in leagues or at open or championship events.

Competitors will be classified according to submitted averages, and there will be a wide range of events shot at 25yds indoors and 50 metres and 100yds outdoors.

The plan for this year is to run the 25yd competition on electronic targets. The outdoor events will be shot on paper targets.

The course of fire is 40 shots to count at each distance, and there are competitions for individuals in each class, for Club Pairs and Club Teams of three.

There are also inter-regional team events for teams of five or six, with the best five scores counting – based upon the areas covered by NSRA affiliated associations. Subject to approval by other regional team organisers, the definition of a region for the purposes of this event can be flexible!

The additional competitions are shot concurrently with the main aggregates (short range and outdoor).

Because of the quantity of shooting involved, and the need to organise competitor classification, please submit your entries well in advance!

When you complete the online entry form, there will be an opportunity to state your squadding preferences,

I’m looking forward to a busy day!
