Where are you from? Parma, Italy

Which disciplines do you coach? Shotgun (Olympic Trap & Skeet)

How did you get involved in the sport and what was your journey to becoming a coach? I am a former shooter, starting my shooting career in 1991.  I began coaching juniors in 2006 at ‘Cas Concaverde’ Shooting School in Lonato.  I got involved more and more into coaching through the years and have been working with the ISSF Training Academy in 2012 and am now a qualified “A License” coach for shotgun.

Do you have a coaching philosophy – if so, what is it? My coaching philosophy can be summed up with two statements: “keep it simple” and “just play the game”.  It sounds easy, but it’s not!  I know shooters who have worked for their whole career to be able to do it successfully.

What are your hopes for the STS Performance Programme? I hope that shooting will be included in the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games and to work with the team with that perspective, looking after the shooters we have now and also developing the talents of tomorrow.

Any other interesting non-shooting related fact about yourself that you would like to mention? Not particularly, I live quite a normal life with my family, enjoying spending time with my daughter Ginevra.
