The ‘Haig’ Scottish Championships

As part of the Scottish Target Shooting (STS) and National Smallbore Rifle Association (NSRA) programmes for the return to shooting, the 2021 Scottish Open Championship (The Earl Haig) will be held at the Denwood Range.
The first stage qualifier will be part of the NSRA Regional Long Range Rifle Competition (RLRRC) being held at Denwood on the 7th and 8th August.
The Regional event is a Double Dewar, in Classes X to D and the first 20 shots at each distance will be used to determine the qualification for the Earl Haig Final and B,C,D Class Special Final (subject to entries). This will be held on Sunday 29th August, again at Denwood.
Please Note : Scottish qualified shooters will automatically be entered in the Earl Haig Competition.
Prizes for the Double Dewar, in Classes X to D, will be awarded to the top three in each class (subject to entries) at each event. These prizes will be cash, not vouchers, of £25 for first Place, £15 for second place and £10 for third place in each class subject to entry.
The top three in each class will be invited to the National Class Final which will be held at Sywell, Northamptonshire on Saturday 11th September with cash prizes of £50, £25 and £15 for first to third places.
There will also be an invite for the top scoring 40 competitors selected from all the regions for a Championship style final at Sywell on Sunday 12th September with cash prizes of £150, £100, £75 and £50 for first to fourth place.
In addition the Regional event will be used for the selection of the Women’s GB team for the Randle postal international match.
