Glenmoriston Successfully Hosts Inaugural Reid Outdoors 125 OTR Grand Prix

Scottish Target Shooting member, Glenmoriston Shooting Ground, held the inaugural Reid Outdoors 125 OTR Grand Prix over the 8th and 9th of July, with a great turn out and fantastic feedback from all who took part.

The overall winner was Anita North whose experience in shooting single-barrel finals showed as she won through to the Gold/Silver match against Ewen MacColl.  Ewen lost his form towards the end whilst Anita held her nerve to win by 3 targets.

Anita North won the Overall High Gun

Ex 125 David Marello took High Gun with a 115, Jonathan Reid (A Class) 103, Anita North (B Class) 114, Scott Anderson (C Class) 110 and John Morrison (D Class 102).  Ewen Ross won the Junior Prize, Anita the Ladies and David Marello the Veterans.

In the hotly contested pairs event, Ewen MacColl and Dugald Wilton emerged winners.

The event had thirty competitors which was ten up on last year. This is the first time a lady has won the competition outright.

Glenmoriston Shooting Ground is keen to promote ISSF type events and it is encouraging to see increased annual participation. Scottish Target Shooting looks forward to working with its member grounds to promote similar opportunities for its members and others to take part in.
