The Open Competition held last over the weekend of 2 and 3 December and attracted over 50 competitors from many different clubs. We offer several trophies for Juniors, Under 21 , Under 18 and Under 15 as well as an E Class for averages under 90. This year Juniors were 44% of the total entry which must be the highest proportion for any open competition in the country, so the Junior competitions were very competitive. Several schools, George Watson’s, Kelvinside Academy, ESMS (Mary Erskine/Stewarts Melville) and Merchiston were represented.

The outstanding performance of the weekend was Ollie Barron who won Class A with 599 ex 600 dropping his 47th shot.
