As 2022 ended, it was time to celebrate the achievements of Rifle, Pistol and Shotgun Shooters who represented Great Britain at ISSF events during 2020 to 2022 at the British Shooting 2022 Awards, held at the Royal Armouries in Leeds, on the 7th Jan 2023.
Scotland was very well represented with Seonaid McIntosh & Lesley Stewart (Rifle and Para Rifle), Jess Liddon & Emilia Faulkner (Pistol) and Keith White (Para Trap) in attendance, all of whom achieved great success during this period.
STS are extremely pleased report that Keith White (Para Trap) was the winner Para Trap Athlete of 2022, for his success at the BS Shotgun Series, winning overall Para Trap Champion, Gold at the WSPS GP in the US, Bronze individual and Team Silver at the WSPS Euro Champs and finally the Bronze at the WSPS World Championships in Al Ain and would like to congratulate Keith on his amazing achievement.
We asked Keith what this award meant to him:
To be nominated for such an award is an achievement in itself, to win is a completely different level and I am pleased to have won the award, But awards like this this are not won by an individual, but a team, and I have had an amazing team supporting me during 2022, not just from my family and friends, but fellow shooters, not just from Para Trap, but from entire shooting community. The support that STS (Oliver, Jenn and Marco) have provided has been outstanding and there encouragement has been amazing, and I have to give a special mention to Mike Drever who has been a great training buddy, friend, mentor and has shown increasable tenacity in his endeavours representing Great Britain during the year, and I ask that you all realise the importance you have made, and I thank you all for what you have done.
STS would like to congratulate all our athletes for their amazing efforts and achievements during 2022, and look forward to further success in 2023.
