Following her history making Gold in Egypt last month, Seonaid travelled to Tallinn, Estonia to compete at the European Shooting Confederation’s European Championships.
Seonaid started brilliantly, moving through the 10m Air Rifle qualifying rounds, to finish top of the leader board heading into the medal matches.
She led throughout the medal qualifier, before an extremely tense Gold Medal Match saw Norway’s Jeanette Duestad narrowly claim victory.
Seonaid’s medal qualifier and gold medal match scores were as follows:
Medal Qualifying Rounds
Round 1 – 53.1 - 1st place
Round 2 – 106.2 - 1st place
Round 3 – 159 - 1st place
Round 4 – 211.8 - 1st place
Round 5 – 264.4 - 1st place
Gold Medal Match
Seonaid McIntosh 10 - Jeanette Duestad 16
By securing a European Championship Silver medal, Seonaid also won an Olympic Quota Place for Team GB at Paris 2024 meaning she now joins Amber Rutter, Nathan Hales and Lucy Hall as the fourth British shooter to win an Olympic quota spot for the next games.
An incredible performance and fantastic two months for Seonaid!
