Congratulations to Donald McIntosh who has been selected as the Rifle Coach for Team GB at the forthcoming Olympic Games in Paris, supporting Mike Bargeron and his younger daughter Seonaid McIntosh in the 10m Air Rifle and 50m Three Positions events.
This will be Donald’s fourth Olympic Games as Coach, each with one of his daughters in the team – Jennifer McIntosh (Ross) in London 2012 and Rio 2016, Seonaid in Tokyo 2020(+1) and now Paris 2024.
Donald said “It remains hard to comprehend that this has happened, and I continue to be amazed by them both. I have been so fortunate to have had these opportunities to travel the world and support them, along with members of the wider British teams, for twenty years now. If my records are correct, Paris 2024 will be my 174th international match as a coach (in either Scottish or British colours). Can’t wait!”
