During the NRA Schools Meeting at Bisley held over 10-13 July, Scotland was represented by a number of schools and a number of individual and teams achieved some fantastic results. Below is a summary of some of those successes.
The following 5 Scottish schools attended the meeting:
- Dollar Academy
- Erskine Stewart’s Melville School
- Fettes College
- Glenalmond College
- Morrison’s Academy.
There were a number of team success including:
- In the Ashburton 4s (a Junior version of The Ashburton) by Erskine Stewart’s Melville School (363.15)
- In the trophies reserved for Scottish Schools by Dollar Academy who swept the board.
There were also a number of fantastic Individual successes, including:
- In the 600yd Aggregate by A. McConnell (Dollar) 68.6
- In the Cadet Rifle Aggregate by J. Barlow (Dollar) 103.12
- In the Schools’ Hundred by J. Barlow (Dollar) 202.19
- In the Spencer Mellish by Emily Robertson (Erskine Stewart’s Melville School) 48.2
Many other good scores were made and congratulations to all competitors are well deserved.
