Shown below are the main Target Rifle shooting dates for 2019. There will be the normal programme of national and regional championship events in Scotland. The Scottish Open Championships will be on June 7th to 9th and the Scottish Long Range Championships will be on June 29th/30th – both events will be held on the Blair Atholl range. The Scottish Open includes the Lawrence Trophy team match against England for teams of 12 shooting at 500 and 600yards. Entry forms for the Scottish Open and Long Range Championships will be available on the STS website by the end of March.
For 2019 there are some changes to the programme of events at the Bisley Meeting (July 17th to 27th ) which has been extended to celebrate the 150th Imperial Meeting since the first NRA Championships took place in 1860. In addition to the normal programme of National team matches – National Match for teams of 20 shooting at 300, 500 and 600 yards, the Mackinnon Match for teams of 12 shooting at 900 and 1000 yards and the match v the Combined Services team -- there will be an America Match for International and Home Country teams of 8 shooters at 300, 600, 900 and 1,000 yards and Scotland will be entering a team for this match. On the same day there will also be team matches for Club teams of 4 shooters at 300,500,600, 900 and 1000 yards. Scotland Team Captain Alan Haggerty will be looking to select strong teams for all the Scotland team matches so we are looking for a good attendance from potential Scotland team members for this year’s Bisley Meeting.
