STS Performance Programme athletes Seonaid McIntosh and Aedan Evans were out representing GBR at the H&N Cup in Munich in January.
Seonaid shot a new British and Scottish record on the first day, qualifying for the final in 8th with a fantastic 628.8. She was able to climb further up the rankings but just missed out on a medal, finishing up 4th after the final.
The second day saw a steady performance of 627.5 from Seonaid, this time finishing 20th – a considerable achievement in a field of more than one hundred competitors.
Meanwhile, Aedan’s performances were very consistent – 563 and 562 over the two days – and finishing 85th both days in a competitive field of a hundred starts.
Seonaid was in action again later on, teaming up with GB Academy athlete Michael Bargeron in the Mixed Air Rifle Team. They shot a new British record of 834.7, finishing 23rd but only 2.4 off the final.
Congratulations to all on some steady results in a highly competitive field.
