Badenoch and Strathspey Muzzle Loading and Rifle Club held a Junior competition on the 28th July. The competition was shot using different disciplines on 2 ranges and involved bench rest precision .22 rifle shooting and timed events using self-loading rifles at various distances, one of the disciplines requires the competitor to address the targets and fire 2 or more shots as the target is electronically exposed for as little as 2 seconds.

The second discipline required the competitors to move along a range and address multiple targets using practical pistol techniques and then shoot down each one before progressing to the next, there was also a requirement for the competitors to remember the given sequence of coloured targets addressed and to advise the range officer and scoring committee of this and of how many shots were fired during the of the course of fire.
