Over the weekend STS, in partnership with Scottish Student Sport (SSS), delivered an RCO course to the university clubs in Scotland to support the safe practice of the sport in Scottish universities.
The day, attended by 11 students from 4 universities was an excellent chance to start the new university academic year off on the right foot and making sure Scotland’s universities continue to shoot safely.
The day would not have been possible without Perth City and County Small Bore Rifle Club donating the club to host the course. In exchange, STS supported 4 members from the club also gaining their RCO qualification making it a successful day for all involved.
Huge thanks goes to Ian Thomson for delivering the course, which has now run for 4 consecutive years, including a student only Club Instructor course and other projects with SSS to support the sport in universities.
