It is with immense sadness that we inform you of the passing of Ian Shirra-Gibb, who peacefully passed away on Monday 24 March at home.

The Final of this year’s Speedway Competition took place on Sunday 2nd March. From an initial thirty-three entrants (30 in Class A/B, just 3 in Class C/D) which was the largest number for several years, sixteen competitors attended the finals following a very high standard of shooting in qualification

British Shooting have now confirmed the athletes to be selected to their programmes for the year and STS are delighted to confirm that Scots feature highlight across all programmes

Events Update from Smallbore AMG Chair

The Silver Medal is awarded to the competitor with the highest score in the second round of the STS Medal winter postal competition, regardless of Class. No Silver Medals have been presented for this competition for many years - quite possible back as far as the 1990s - but with this award for 2024 to Mark Ferrari from Forres Smallbore Rifle & Pistol Club, we have re-started the presentation of this prestigious award.

STS would like to advise about the closure of the STS Office from 18 December until 6 January for the festive season. We also want to notify that STS is moving to new premises and request the cessation of all post until details of our new location is confirmed. Find out more…
